On Android, we are in the process of merging our Start page with the Awesomescreen, in an effort to dramatically simplify the browser UI to make a user's content much easier to access. We should consider doing the same on the FirefoxOS browser.

The system browser start page has been redesigned from the ground up in 2.1+. We should be good here now.
