since we encounter more and more bugs that can be reproduced only using lowspeed
connections (like 56k analog modems), wouldn't be reasonable to have a new field
on the bugreport page where reporters can optionaly specify the connection used
(modem 14...56K, ISDN, DSL, CABLE, T1, T3, whatever comes...)

Alexandru, with a couple of quick queries I was unable to find any bugs that
only happen on nlow speed connections. I found a couple of Layout reports that
talked about the reflow differences between low and high-speed connections but
two or three bugs doesn't seen to warrant a new field in Bugzilla. Do you have a
list of these connections speed dependent bugs? Couldn't we just ask reporters
to include that in the description?

yes, i guess we could ask the reporters to do this in the description.
i know that is hard to find bugzilla bugs that need this information, but we
had/have/will have bugs that are related to low connection speeds be cause the
users have more time to click around during the loading of a page on low speed
and since we implemented optimizations like keeping the layout tree around while
the document is been removed from the memory until the next page is loaded.
yeah, if the cost of implementing this new field is high, then let's not do it.
(it was anyway just an ideea)
