User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.1; rv:20.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/20.0 (Beta/Release)
Build ID: 20130326150557
Steps to reproduce:
I tried to start up Thunderbird.
Actual results:
I get the dialog box as seen at
http://www.bentframe.org/prob.png
and the following messages in the error console:
Timestamp: 6/13/2013 10:41:31 PM
Error: SyntaxError: syntax error

I can't tell you the cause of the second and third messages, but it looks like e4x is no longer supported in the current version of JavaScript that TB 16 and 17 run.
Expected results:
An uneventful email session.
Using cygwin on Windows, 4 of the files were owned by Administrator, the rest by the normal user. I tried running TB as Administrator, same problem. I changed the owner of the files, reran, same problem.
I back-installed from v17 to v16, same problem.
