stacktrace lacks thunderbird symbols, so not useful unless you have a testcase that makes it crash.

Fair enough, but I think this is one of those "before the finish" crashes that happen
often with thunderbird.
The error messages produced by thread-races and wrong ordering of modules being shutdown
have convinced me that there is a serious thread-race and outright bug in the
order of threads being termnated. I will file a separate bug.
