Looking at a random kit: https://mozteach.makes.org/thimble/make-it-share-it-kit
In FF videos play fine, Chrome takes a really, really long time to load (really long), and Safari doesn't load ever.

This sounds like mixed content blocking. The thimble pages are https:// and the videos are likely http://
https://mozteach.makes.org/thimble/make-it-share-it-kit is pretty much completely broken, has it been superceded/replaced?
Is this bug still relevant with the changes in the last few weeks?
