overflow_bug_1.webm

User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.1; WOW64; rv:24.0) Gecko/20130613 Firefox/24.0 (Nightly/Aurora)
Build ID: 20130613031237

Steps to reproduce:

Visit either of the two following pages and swipe over the map/images.

http://codepen.io/foleyatwork/full/ylwoz
http://leafletjs.com/examples/quick-start-example.html

The content "leaks" out of the container during the swipe, even though overflow is set to hidden (see video in attachement).

Here is a somewhat reduced example: http://jsbin.com/avabad/1/

The bug appears using a Asus Transformer TF300 (Android 4.2), and using a Sony-Ericsson Xperia Neo (Android 4.1)
OS: Windows 7 → Android
Hardware: x86_64 → ARM
Also reproducible on Samsung Galaxy Nexus (Android 4.1.1) on latest Nightly( 2013-06-16). Works fine on stock browser.
This was reported on IRC, it looks like the same issue to me:
http://schlaka.feiter.de/test3.php

On Firefox for Android (Galaxy Tab 10.1, Android 3.2), the content scrolls out of the div. Not so with desktop.
Status: UNCONFIRMED → NEW
Ever confirmed: true
Mirrored here:
http://sjeng.org/test3.html

I don't see any overflow: hidden in there so I'll edit the subject.
Summary: Content leaks out of container with overflow hidden set → Content leaks out of container
