88336 - Windows installer unable to detect available disk space when Mozilla is being installed into nonstandard path

I downloaded and installed Mozilla 0.9.1 Windows Installer and it worked fine installing into the default path of

c:\Program Files\mozilla.org\Mozilla

I then uninstalled it using Add/Remove Programs, and reinstalled it into

c:\Program Files\mozilla.org\Mozilla 0.9.1

During installation into this nonstandard path, the installer reported an error several times. The reported error was "Installer unable to detect available free disk space" (Paraphrased from memory). However, after clicking OK in the error dialog box, the installation proceeded smoothly. The very same error dialog box came up 5-6 times at different points during the installation. I had to click OK each time. The installation completed successfully and Mozilla worked fine afterwards.

I'm not exactly sure what it was about the nonstandard path that caused the error. It might be the space in the "Mozilla 0.9.1" directory name, the dots in the same, or something else.


Reproducible: Didn't try
Steps to Reproduce:
1. Install Windows Mozilla 0.9.1 Installer into "c:\Program Files\mozilla.org\Mozilla 0.9.1", not the proposed standard path of "c:\Program Files\mozilla.org\Mozilla"
2. Observe error messages during installation. Click on OK to make them go.
3. Installation completes successfully.

Actual Results:  See above.

Expected Results:  There is no reason the error messages should have appeared. There was no reason for the Mozilla Installer to not be able to detect remaining free disk space. On the exact same computer configuration, software and hardware wise, the Mozilla installer installs perftectly fine into the proposed standard path.

please try and see if you can reproduce this bug with the current installer:
