User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Ubuntu; Linux i686; rv:21.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/21.0 (Beta/Release) Build ID: 20130512194440 Steps to reproduce: I created a filter in Thunderburd 17.0.6 for Linux (Ubuntu) set up to auto-reply to Paypal payments matching specific criteria: --To contains <email address for paypal account> --Body contains 'new member dues' (quotes not part of filter) --Body contains 'paypal' That would conduct the following actions: --Reply with Template 'Thank you for joining' --Move Message to 'Paypal Applications on <my google apps imap server>' Once filter was created I sent an email from another email account that triggered the conditions. The message triggered the filter and was moved to the correct folder, the filter log noted both the reply and the move, but no reply was received on the other account, no reply was in the sent mail folder, and no reply arrow appeared next to the subject in the message list. Following this I selected the message and did a "Tools->Run filters on selected message" which successfully sent an automated reply from template, copied the reply to sent mail, and added the arrow denoting that it had been replied to. I also tried removing the Move Message step in case there was a conflict there but no joy. Actual results: Messages were successfully moved to the folder but no automatic reply was sent. If I go into the folder, select the message, and say Tools->Run filters on selected message then it will successfuly "auto"-reply. Expected results: Auto-reply message should have been sent before message was moved to folder. Checking filter log (attached) it appears that the filter is applied twice for each message received, presumably the first is supposed to be the auto-reply and the second is the mail move, but something is happening that is not recorded in the log that is causing it to not actually send the response. The entries for Donald Ensley & David Murdoch repeat in the log because I ran the filter manually on the messages after receiving to force Thunderbird to actually send the "auto"-reply.
Severity: normal → S3

I'm on Windows. Do you still want me to try?

I'm on Windows. Do you still want me to try?

OS shouldn't matter for filters. So it's worth a try. Thanks

I can't repro this because by the time I get to this step:

That would conduct the following actions:
--Reply with Template 'Thank you for joining'

and the Perform These Actions section, there's no way to Reply with Template as it seems that option no longer exists and I can't proceed further.
