Environment: Build: Firefox for Android 24.0a1 (2013-06-16) Device: Motorola RAZR XTC910(Android 2.3.5) Steps to reproduce: 1. Open NYtimes.com and open any article. 2. From URL bar tap on reader mode icon. 3. Scroll the article. 4. Tap on screen to open reader mode toolbar. Expected result: The reader mode toolbar is displayed. Actual result: Reader mode toolbar is not displayed. Note: I was only able to reproduce this issue on a Motorola RAZR XTC910 device.
The XT910 is likely not meeting the memory threshold requirement. Please paste the MemTotal and MemFree values by running: $ adb shell cat /proc/meminfo Our low memory threshold is 384MB bare minimum http://mxr.mozilla.org/mozilla-central/source/xpcom/base/nsMemoryImpl.cpp#25 See also: https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=880207
I don't think this is memory-related. If you can get into reader mode at all, then the reader mode toolbar should appear when you tap the screen (or Firefox should crash).
Yeah I read this wrong this morning. Also the XT910 has ~1GB according to PDADB. Ignore comment #1.
This is also reproducible on Firefox Mobile 25 beta 10 on the Samsung Galaxy Note (Android 4.0.4). Disabling the dynamic toolbar does not solve the issue
Anything in the logcat? Is this a regression? If so please find a regression window.
