when the audio is in use (realaudio or xmms), mozilla cannot launch. It waits until the audio is available.
I believe this is one of the plugins doing this, I recall the jvm plugin wanting the audio device when it starts.
Pretty sure this is a dupe of a known issue. I think it's also dependant on what soundcard your using.
