Bug 857165 added domain highlighting and 'http://' dropping to URLs when the pref to show them in the titlebar is enabled. It would be nice if this styling could also be applied to URLs when the pref is not enabled, to URLs that are shown during pageload before the title is resolved. These URLs are visible especially when data connection is rather slow. I attached a mockup of the proposal.

wesj, I guess this is because we only highlight domains once the tab has a basedomain set for the target URL (i.e. on LOCATION_CHANGE)?

Yep. I thought there was a reason for that. Maybe I wanted to avoid extra work during pageload...

We changed the way we display URLs, this isn't valid anymore.
