bug866880 break many addons. addons are firefox's biggest advantage. such function is so muture in so many addons. why to destory them?

Can you elaborate on which add-ons it breaks, and how it breaks them?

some small userscripts providing same function. fireguetures was one, but it was fixed in a new version. the error in the error console point to the line changed by bug866880.
