I have a couple off bugs that relates to the title of this bug and I know there is some work rhelmer wishes to do in this regards as well. This will then be the tracker on which all related bugs can depend and the bug that will blocked from being closed by all related bugs. This basically refers to aspects such as redundant HTML, HTML that does not validate, redundant CSS, images we no longer need, using HTML5 form elements where it makes sense and cleaning up the JS and getting rid of dependencies on plugins, where the need no longer exists.
