Hey Matt, sure thing! Took a pass at it, might need some editorial judgement from you and Paula. Adding Paula and Kat to CC for input

I had already created a blog post for this [url on its way], and also put it on the wiki here under 'how to get your make featured' and other sections in cooperation with John Bevan: https://wiki.mozilla.org/Maker_Party/Get_involved#Community_Support
Did you guys not see these? I had emailed it all out to you last week :)

Have updated Etherpad with the confirmed copy we have been using.
For future reference, it's also online here: http://blog.kaibray.com/post/53435217912/creativity-is-the-goal-at-mozillas-makerparty
Please let me know if you need further details!

Hi all,
I've consolidated my blog post, my notes in the Etherpad and the template mentioned by Chris on the Etherpad here and it's ready for publish: https://etherpad.mozilla.org/featured-makes-HOWTO
(Matt, if you see last-min edits that need to be made, please go ahead. Jacob, please leave text as-is. Thanks!)
Can we use "makerparty" instead of "webmaker win" or at least give people options?

Ah, found the right bug. :-)
Thanks for drafting! Made a few suggestions, including listing makerparty@mozilla.org as a key way for people to contact us. Also, we're muting "summer" in favor of seasonally neutral terms/times.
Will we also include a screenshot or iframe of a "What I Made" example?

* Nice work, Superfriends!
* Next step: let's clean up, finalize, and publish to Webmaker blog
* Suggested frame: "How to share what you made at Maker Party"
* Let's give people three clear calls to action, from low bar to higher:
** 1) Tag your make with "#makerparty" (note: I think we're proposing that one hashtag is better than several for this)
** 2) Use our "What I made at Maker Party" template. An easy way to share what you did -- and invite other people to be inspired by it, remix or build off of it.
** 3) Want to become more famous? Here's how to get your make featured on webmaker.org
** 4) Stuck? Want to go deeper or get more involved? Get in touch with us at makerparty@mozilla.org
* Does that general frame work? If so me or Erika D can put into our writing and publishing queue, building off what's above.

I'm fine with sticking to one hashtag.
re "stuck" portion, I'd also give them the opportunity to find us via other means besides email, ie the Makesmiths IRC or G+ group.
Other than that, sounds good. Please feel free to cut/edit/change Etherpad text as needed.

* We also have documentation for this here:

* Want to ensure what's listed there squares with everyone's expectations

I think we're still out of sync on a few things, so took another stab and changed the wiki page - https://wiki.mozilla.org/Maker_Party/Get_involved#How_to_get_your_Makes_featured
- We decided to get rid of #webmakerwin so we only have to worry about one hashtag, which is #makerparty. So that's now mentioned first and foremost.
- It doesn't make sense to get others to use a special webmakerwin or makerpary tag in Popcorn or Thimble since we are going to be monitoring #makerparty on Twitter, but I think it does make sense to get people using topical tags that relate to their content so we can start having a richer site that matches up similar Makes in the search etc. So I put in more lucid instructions on how to tag Makes in Popcorn and Thimble and separated that paragraph from the CTA for tweeting with the #makerparty hashtag, which is a simpler call to action than the way it was clumped together before.
- I put clearer instructions on how to use IRC and a link to the #makesmiths chatroom via web browser using Mibbit. Kat - your blog post has a different service called irc2go but I couldn't get that to work, maybe because I have Java disable or something.
- Changed some grammatical mistakes i.e it's the 'Project' tab in popcorn, not 'Publish' tab.
Lastly, I think there are some "coming soon" parts of this wiki page that are now live i.e.
* Create your own Maker Party projects and content.(coming soon)
* Create and share teaching guides, resources and party favors. (coming soon)
* Report back on your Maker Party events. (coming soon)
Do you have the right links for those to update the page with?

* Thanks Jacob! Super helpful.
* @ Michelle Thorne: what do you think? Anything you want to add / revise on this wiki?

Going to have Amira review (not able to add her yet to the bug because she doesn't have an account)
Think we're close although the section is still lengthy and somewhat complicated.
In particular, I think we should call out:
There are two ways to get your stuff featured: An automatic one (adding tags) and a human one (tweeting #makerparty).
Then there is the support info Jacob is describing.
Amira can tighten and have ready for prime time.

Yes - on the wiki now is the most updated version of the conversations we've been having re: human support and virtual heads-up. I've edited it a bit more so it should now all be updated - but there may still be a job for the writer (Amira et al) to make those two sections more distinctive. Bottom line: we want to see the best Makes, and we want folks to know they have help getting there if they need it :)
