Bug 860581 is implementing mixed content blocking for Android, which includes a "Learn More" link. Right now, we're just linking to the kb article for desktop, but it would be good to have a mobile version of the article. The feature still needs some polish, so we probably want to hold off on screenshots for right now, but I wanted to make sure this bug was filed.
Nom'ing to track Fennec, in case this is something we decide we need to fix before shipping the mixed content blocking UI.

hi margaret, i thought this feature was going to ship in firefox 25 for android not 24.

If it's 24 please let me know ASAP so we can arrange for the mobile SUMO KB article to be written for 24 (perhaps beta) OR
if it's 25 we have 6 weeks to wait for the you and the rest of the awesome devs to make this feature better before the SUMO community documents it.
Yeah, it's still disabled on 24 and our roadmap does indicate that we're planning to ship it in 25. I talked to mfinkle about why this bug was marked as tracking-fennec for 24, and I think we're just trying to be liberal with the tracking in case this *might* ship in 24. However, I would wait until bug 885962 lands before documenting this.
This should get pushed to track 25, not 24.

Roland, all the follow-ups I'm aware of have been fixed, so we're ready to start documenting this feature in the kb article.

If you're looking for some test pages to get screenshots, I like using Tanvi's test pages:

In both the android and desktop articles, it says:
To reverse the previous action (re-block mixed content), just reload the page.

Since changes made in the platform in FF 24, this is no longer true (see bug 902156). For Firefox Desktop, to re-enable protection you need to do one of two things:
1) open a new tab and re-visit the page
2) navigate to another domain and then navigate to the original domain (by typing it into the address bar, not through the back button).

I've changed the desktop article to reflect this.

For android, I believe there is a "re-enable protection" button. Here is a mock-up (not final product) from bug 860581: https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/attachment.cgi?id=765151&action=edit

Hence, the android article should suggest people find and click that button (and perhaps add a screenshot of it).
Also, can we add a section (to both the desktop and android mdn pages) that points developers to more information and/or details on how to fix their site:

https://developer.mozilla.org/en-US/docs/Security/MixedContent/fix_website_with_mixed_content

and

https://developer.mozilla.org/en-US/docs/Security/MixedContent

Thanks!
we'll leave it as "open in a new tab" in android for now

and add "needs changes" to:
a) add those links
b) add a screenshot and a sentence about "Enable protection" on android
