Main purpose of the lockscreen is, I think, to prevent unwanted operations when the screen is locked, so I can for example save phone in my trousers' pocket without being worry that something will be randomly switched on.

Except it doesn't work. Even with lockscreen I can get after long press on the switch-on hardware button the main swith-off menu (see attached) and I have repeatedly phone switched off to the airplane mode, or ring has been switched off, when I had the phone in my pocket.

Using Geeksphone Peak with their stable image (Build ID 20130613185731).
I've also suffered this with a Flame and standard jeans.

Blind guess, but could it be a low-level issue? It really feels like a watchdog triggering path for rebooting a bricked device.
