Steps to reproduce:

Closed the browser.


Actual results:

Browser closed but a crash report popped up on my desktop.


Expected results:

Browser should have closed cleanly.
happening more and more frequently. Multiple times a day now.
Please provide the crash ID (bp-...) from the about:crashes page.

Does it happen in Safe Mode (see https://support.mozilla.org/kb/troubleshoot-firefox-issues-using-safe-mode)?

I have not tried Firefox in safe mode ... normal browsing is NOT affected, just this stuff on closing.

It's caused by your Nouveau drivers.

Turning off HW acceleration will fix your crashes. See https://support.mozilla.org/kb/upgrade-graphics-drivers-use-hardware-acceleration#w_i-still-have-problems-with-my-graphics-card-in-firefox

Just closed from safe mode, 6 windows open, and it crashed again. I'll try the hardware-acceleration thing.
Just crash-reported again, after deselecting hardware acceleration. Report is

This is INTENSELY annoying.
so I just switched webgl.disabled to true, stopped firefox, and got another crash report! bp-8f3eb5fb-1b95-46d6-9e97-6b2262130624
