Looking into logs doesn't show any problems except timeouts. Slower machines, or some perf regression in the browser?

This patch updates the tests that failed to use the newer waitForMessages() function. If there are only slowdowns, tests should pass. If there are actual issues that prevent the messages from showing, we will still see failures and some debug output.
