If my eyes aren't failing me, I believe the font gets a bit "thinner" as soon as the letters have to scroll to fit in the search box. FWIW I can reproduce this on Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.1; WOW64; rv:24.0) Gecko/20130624 Firefox/24.0 ID:20130624031040 CSet: 76820c6dff7b Graphics Adapter Description Intel(R) HD Graphics 3000 Adapter Drivers igdumd64 igd10umd64 igd10umd64 igdumd32 igd10umd32 igd10umd32 Adapter RAM Unknown Device ID 0x0126 Direct2D Enabled true DirectWrite Enabled true (6.1.7601.17789) Driver Date 3-19-2012 Driver Version 8.15.10.2696 GPU #2 Active false GPU Accelerated Windows 2/2 Direct3D 10 Vendor ID 0x8086 WebGL Renderer Google Inc. -- ANGLE (Intel(R) HD Graphics 3000 Direct3D9Ex vs_3_0 ps_3_0) windowLayerManagerRemote false AzureCanvasBackend direct2d AzureContentBackend direct2d AzureFallbackCanvasBackend cairo
