User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.1; WOW64; rv:21.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/21.0 (Beta/Release) Build ID: 20130511120803 Steps to reproduce: Firefox for Serbia, Cyrillic. Download folder is named Преузимања. Because of that, whenever one clicks on exe in that folder, or from download list, it reports an error. This is Windows bug, but you can make a workaround by naming that folder with the letters with English alphabet, which is no problem, since Serbia uses both alphabets. Suggestion: name it "Preuzimanja".
Aleksandar, do you have a reference about this Windows bug (on MS websites e.g., maybe it's documented)?

Sorry, but no. Unfortunately, nobody documented this because it is localized to a small geographical region. I have personally tried this in both Win 7 and Win XP. Create any folder anywhere using Cyrillic and put an exe in it, and try to execute it. Since FF is not needed to reproduce this bug, it is a windows bug. However, the problem lies with FF, since its default download folder is written in Cyrillic.

Windows NT can run executables from a folder with any name, Cyrillic or Japanese, doesn't matter. Not a Firefox or Windows bug.

Well, not I personally (I use en version), but I administer a lot of PCs on which there are installed Serbian versions of FF. In ALL of them, downloads is named Преузимања, and downloaded exe files cannot be started. And I have reported this bug 5 months ago. Where are all the devs?

I have no issues launching downloaded applications from a folder named Преузимања, so unless the OP names what executables he is trying to run I would consider him attempting to start another Cyrl vs. Latn holywar.
Urmas, I dont even care even more. I have reported what I have experienced on numerous occasions. There has never existed cyrilic vs latin holly war in favor of latin. I dont have time to do this any more, and I will unsubscribe from contributing to FF. Goodbye.
