User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Linux x86_64) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/27.0.1453.110 Safari/537.36

Steps to reproduce:

for a few monthes, deleting (my own) posts is no longer allowed in newsgroups.

Actual results:

now, one has to go in the message menu, and click on "cancel message".
It is just doing the same thing that delete (for user point of view), but
1: the same thing is no longer the same command for mails and posts.
2: there is no shortcut, so you have to go to the menu.
3: cannot be done in filter action.

Expected results:

"d", delete, filter:delete should cancel.
May this be solved by bug 883485?

NO IT DOES NOT. Cancel attempts to remove the posting from all Usenet servers, while delete only removes a copy locally. As aceman mentions, bug 883485 solves this. Until then, enabling the preference news.allow_delete_with_no_undo will allow you to use delete as well (there's no undo ability for delete, which is why it was disabled).
