It's a recent regression.
In expanded state the Contributor sidebar arrow is on the left while in collapsed state it's on the right.

It's also applicable to the Editing Tools sidebar.

The only recent RTL fix is bug 881107 which is unrelated.
If bug 881188 was officially fixed, I'd have said it was the culprit.
