Acer Iconia Tab A500 (Android 3.2)
Steps to reproduce:
1) Load cnn.com and go to the Video section
2) Set the "Request Desktop Site" to on
3) Disable the option and go back to the main page of cnn.com
4) Set the "Request Desktop Site" option and then access the video section
Expected results:
The same website is displayed at steps 2 and 4
Actual results:
If the user is in the video section when setting the "Request Desktop Site" the same page remains (old version of the video section). If the user accesses the video section in a tab with the "Request Desktop Site" option already set the video page with the new layout is displayed.

Sounds like CNN sets a cookie with the UA visited when you visited the video section of the page and that's what they set and use to determine which content to cater to the user. If you clear cookies, can you still reproduce?

I get the same behavior even if I clear cookies. I cleared cookies before setting the option for "Request desktop site" and the same page is loaded - the old layout - and then with the option set while on the main page of cnn, clearing cookies and then accessing the video section I get the new layout page
