We get frequent requests for restricted events on Air Mozilla where the audience is a subset of MoCo/MoFo staff or a subset of Mozillains. One possible solution to the problem is to require a password or PIN to allow access to a particular event. The biggest downside to this is that we would be buried in a deluge of PIN/password requests for people wanting to see archived recordings. Since we do not have enough information about who can and cannot have access to any given recording there is no way we can undertake to manage such a system. If we give the event suggester (not creator) access to a web widget on the event page that sets and resets the passcode for a given event, then access control can be managed at the appropriate point in the company.

Rather than using PINs we're going to auth against the Mozillians special groups.
