(Whiteboard: [bugday-20131016])

User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Linux x86_64; rv:22.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/22.0 (Beta/Release) Build ID: 20130627165811 Steps to reproduce: Go to any website with Webnotification enabled, receive a notification. Actual results: Notification shows up at up right corner of screen. Expected results: As a KDE user, I expect them to show up like on Windows, ig. down right. The current behavior is ok with GNOME and Unity, but showing notifications up when you expect them down is weird. This should be changed to down right when user does not use GNOME, Unity or any DM that displays notifications up right. And/Or it could be configurable via about:config.

Summary: Webnotification location on Linux → Webnotification location on Linux is top right of the screen, want bottom right for KDE
Whiteboard: [bugday-20131016]
Much better just to display native notifications except for explicit HTML5 notifications. People will see exactly what they expect for their platform 99% of the time.
Maybe they wanted to make the design of (web)notifications the same on all desktop/laptop platforms. But I expect them to be a bit customizable by the user. Or as you said, use native notifications.
Bulk move to Toolkit::Notifications and Alerts Filter on notifications-and-alerts-component.

I am using Fedora 29 on Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Fedora; Linux x86_64; rv:65.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/65.0 and I can confirm this. It is also related to bug 1450036.

I'm using KDE and for the most part, notifications work OK (appear in the bottom right corner). But under some conditions (I think when a big burst of multiple notifications happen), something breaks and they start appearing in the top right, also losing native KDE theming and looking like some stock GTK elements.

I'm not sure if it's a Firefox or KDE bug (I also have Plasma Integration add-on installed). Can anyone look at this please? I can open a KDE bug if needed.

Just wanted to add that it hasn't been happening anymore for a while. Wayland mode in Firefox, KDE Wayland session (Plasma 5.27.5).

Nice, thanks for reporting back. (Not WORKSFORME but really WORKSFORYOU 😄)

Changing the component anyway since this is platform specific.
