Created attachment 769812 [details] Screenshot with distorted fonts User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Linux i686; rv:16.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/16.0 Iceweasel/16.0.2 (Beta/Release) Build ID: 20121026200929 Steps to reproduce: I open http://news.discovery.com/space/asteroids-meteors-meteorites/interceptor-would-nuke-incoming-asteroids-130701.htm and scroll the view with mouse scroll. Actual results: The fonts are distorted after scrolling. The distortion is noticeable in the second paragraph of the main text (for example, "as a complementary piece to its" looks severely distorted).
Works fine for me on the latest Nightly: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Linux i686; rv:25.0) Gecko/20130702 Firefox/25.0 Victor, please can you confirm whether this issue still occurs using Firefox in safe mode or with a new profile? http://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/troubleshoot-firefox-issues-using-safe-mode http://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/profile-manager-create-and-remove-firefox-profiles Also, could you please specify which version of Firefox are you using?

I was unable to reproduce the bug in neither in safe mode nor in normal mode. It is due most likely the fact that I have downgraded Firefox (as I have downgraded my entire Debian system from jessie to wheezy, due to a bug preventing me to use Gnome). The trouble was with Firefox (more specifically Iceweasel) from jessie Debian release. It was probably 17.0.7esr-1~deb7u1 but now I can't tell the version number for sure.
I have upgraded Firefox to Debian package iceweasel 17.0.7esr-1~deb7u1. I am unable to reproduce the bug neither in safe nor in normal mode.
