Details

Sometimes when I select some text in the browser with the mouse, and paste it in another window (e.g., xterm), two newlines are appended to the end of text (even if I just select a single word, which should not have any newline at all). For example, browse to http://www.orbz.org, select any word (or part of a word), and paste it in an xterm window. You'll see two newlines appended to it. It's very annoying. Strangely, it only happens in some pages - browsing http://www.mozilla.org I can't seem recreate the problem. Could it be the fact that www.orbz.org has a PRE tag, and the bug is somehow related to text in a PRE?
It is in fact the <pre> tag's fault. Duplicate of "cut & paste from <pre> always adds <newline> at the end of pasted text" *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of 55561 ***

Should be duplicate of 55661, not 55561?
