You should only notify me once or twice about a new version of firefox, or have two buttons that say: Notify me in 5 more hours; Do not notify me again about this version of firefox.
Average users need to be notified because old versions are EOL and unsecure. As advanced user, you can set Firefox to disable updates and make the update manually directly from "About Firefox".
