Upgrade dev scl3 dbs to mysql 5.6
Noting here that this is RHEL 6. Removing old packages by running: yum remove Percona-Server-client-55-5.5.29-rel29.4.401.rhel6.x86_64 Percona-Server-server-55-5.5.29-rel29.4.401.rhel6.x86_64 Percona-Server-shared-55-5.5.29-rel29.4.401.rhel6.x86_64 Percona-Server-shared-compat-5.5.29-rel29.4.401.rhel6.x86_64 Installed new packages by downloading from MySQL's http://dev.mysql.com/downloads/mysql/#downloads rpm -Uvh MySQL-client-5.6.12-1.el6.x86_64.rpm MySQL-server-5.6.12-1.el6.x86_64.rpm MySQL-shared-5.6.12-1.el6.x86_64.rpm MySQL-shared-compat-5.6.12-1.el6.x86_64.rpm
turned off binary logging, started mysql, ran mysql_upgrade, everything loooked good. Restarted mysql with binary logging on again. Disabled puppet for 2 days until we get those packages in puppet.
Waiting for dev failover tomorrow as per bug 889856.
Depends on: 891377
dev was failed over in scl3 successfully. Will work on upgrading dev1 now.
dev1.db.scl3 has been upgraded.
Status: NEW → RESOLVED

Resolution: --- → FIXED
And dev1 is back as the master in scl3 again.
