Steps to reproduce:
using replicant 4.0 0003 (http://replicant.us), from cyanogenmod, which is based on android 4.0.4. Using Samsung Galaxy S2, which has no user-space 3d graphics driver in replicant.
steps:
open firefox for android, wait for status circle to stop spinning, type in anoter address, wait for it to complete. then go to tab view, and look at the thumbnails for those pages.
Actual results:
the pages showed up blank. the thumbnails display the pages in low-resolution, as expected. the url bar, etc. show up above the blank pages and act fine.
Expected results:
pages should have displayed content instead of blank pages.

Please capture a logcat from the device as you attempt to visit a website and and attach it to this bug.

the page is actually grey, not white, before and after the page is done downloading.

Do you only see this problem using your customized rom? Have you tried Nightly (http://nightly.mozilla.org) for Android? Does that work?

it is also a problem with the latest nightly build. i have not tried it on another rom.
as a note, the page exports as a pdf just fine.

I'm seeing something similar on stock Android (4.4.4 and 5.0) on my Nexus 5. Normally Firefox works fine, but occasionally it stops rendering pages and they all show up as white, but as in this bug the thumbnail is fully rendered. Once this starts I need to force stop Firefox to get it working again. Even internal pages such as the Add-ons page display as blank.
I don't see anything like the window surface error in my logcat, though, so it may have a completely different cause. This is the log when I try to open the Apps page:

We recently fixed an issue that matches this description in bug 1030523, in Firefox 36. If you have reliable steps to reproduce this problem we would appreciate it if you tried them on the latest nightly build to see if it still happens there.
