This is a regression from bug #889466.
Hi Eitan,

I think we may have had a discussion about this in the past, but can't remember. Are touch events not supported by the screen reader? If not, is it on the roadmap to add to the screen reader?

The reason I ask is it feels like we're going to be duplicating a lot of code if we can't support touch events.

Yeah, we covered that somewhere. But you are right, rightly or wrongly apps are begining to solely use touch, and we need to support that better. I'll comment here if we figure out another solution.

The usage of touch events for activation is too much for us to fix. We will have to simply synthesize touch and mouse events on these elements.
