Some of the strings (e.g. in Settings -> Device Information -> More Information Git Commit Info label or in Developer settings) are too long for displaying and "..." is added. IMHO long strings should "marquee" to their end or be shown in some tooltip after taping them. In some localization, there can be more strings like these and hiding the end of strings looks quite user unfriendly.
I don't think this is a good idea anymore, as the string truncation is bad enough and should be solved itself.
