Why shouldn't links look like links? Isn't that rule #1 in UI design: "make
things look like what they are" (hrm, or something like that :) )
Strictly speaking this is a Themes issue.
You can click on them and change the underlying Navigator window to that URL.
Therefore they are links. Therefore, they should look like links.

(As Neil says, they are styled by the theme.)

i'm not opposed to resolution: wontfix.

But they don't look like my links, which I specified to be hot pink with no
underline. Actually, they don't even look like the typical default appearance
of links (blue, underlined, red on :active).

I think these should just be nice, clean, readonly textboxes. Yeah, the user
could just copy the link text from the page. So what?

I'm still undecided what to do about Properties. Honestly, all I know is that I
open it up and close my eyes and try to imagine seeing it in a Microsoft
application. I can't.
Ok, I see your point. The question is, does this apply to all links in the
modern skin or just the links in the properites window. If all: this is a skin
issue. If just the properties window: why?
> Why shouldn't links look like links?

Because if (for example) your chrome color (as set in the Display control panel
on Windows) is pale blue, your default HTML background color is white, and your
default HTML link color is pale blue, the URLs in the Properties window will
become invisible.

Should they be underlined like links? Sure, because consistency is important.
Should they be colored like links? No, because ensuring that they are visible
*at all* is more important than consistency.

No, this problem doesn't apply just to the Properties window (the odious
mouseovers in the Personal Toolbar have the same problem), but the Properties
window is the only one where I've seen this weird shade of pale lavender.

Isn't this fixed? (the link addresses aren't links anymore)
Marking invalid now that the element properties window doesn't display url's as
links.
