WFM with the latest Nightly, build ID: 20130714030202, on Ubuntu 13.04 64bit. Could you please try the following, to see if you still reproduce this issue : 1) try this with a clean profile: http://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/profile-manager-create-and-remove-firefox-profiles 2) running in Safe mode: http://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/troubleshoot-firefox-issues-using-safe-mode

lacks response. in addition "you are blocked from navigating to it." can't be describing exactly what you see. A screen shot would be helpful.

It says "switch to tab" and then redirects you there instead of going to the webpage.

Of course it switches to that tab, you picked that choice. It does what is designed to do. If you do not want that choice, then do not pick that choice in the drop down and, instead, put your cursor the autocompleted URL in the URL/awesome bar This is really a issue/question about basic browser behavior, and should have been posted in http://support.mozilla.org/ ... *not* here in bugzilla. Please use http://support.mozilla.org/ more often.

"put your cursor the autocompleted URL in the URL/awesome bar" You can't do that, because it replaces that choice, so you don't see that url anywhere else.
