It is a feature request.

Add the possibility to block volume of ring sound when the screen is locked.
In settings add the possibility to not change volume when the screen is locked.

When the phone is in the pocket very often the volume go to maximum and it is very often a bad surprise !!

By default, when the screen is locked you can change volume increase/decrease/vibrate. It is good when this change is volunteer but when it is not it is very annoying.

I fully agree, I missed numerous calls because my phone switched from vibrate to silent mode involuntarily.

I think this is a duplicate of bug 1054491. So I close this one.
