We have the need to host some custom modified selenium files for automated testing of the Social API that is part of Firefox. These are currently hosted on people [1], but with access by only one user.
Please can we create a socialapi directory on ftp, with a new group of users for that directory.
Please can the initial user list be:
- myself
- Shane Caraveo
- Dan Mosedale
and please can stage.mozilla.org accounts be created for these people if necessary.

Mark, what path are you suggesting ? /pub/mozilla.org/socialapi, or is there an appropriate top level we can reuse ?

How about
/pub/mozilla.org/webtools/selenium/socialapi/
or
/pub/mozilla.org/utilities/selenium/socialapi/
(but please give us access to the selenium directory).

(Not sure of context, so this may not apply. If you will be looking to upload selenium test results / info to this location, consider bug#749421 instead.)

We have a patched build of selenium that supports testing the iframes used by socialapi providers and want a place to make that available.

i should be able to create a directory on the ftp servers as requested by :standard8 in comment 2, but just want to clarify which would be preferred? additionally, i wanted to seek feedback here because i don't really follow the last two comments.

Moving the needinfo to justdave, as /pub/mozilla.org/webtools/ is currently all Bugzilla files at the moment. What is your preference re comment #2 ?
joduinn, (from irc with standard8) no uploads to ftp.m.o are needed during the test jobs. The files being hosted are for setting up a test environment, jenkins will pull them each job, developers just one time
cturra, you can ignore comments #4 and #5, no changes to implementation
Standard8/mixedpuppy, friendly reminder to do the right thing license wise for the modification

That should read comments #3 and #4.

That it's all Bugzilla is just because nobody's been uploading stuff for any of the other tools. Maybe the bugzilla stuff should go into a further subdirectory or something (not without advanced notice - we'd have to change download links and such)

to start have i created the /pub/webtools/selenium/socialapi/ directory and uploaded the selenium tests that were on people to it.
i need to track down how/if we can get you direct access to uploading to the ftp cluster. do feel free to correct me if that's not required - some of this thread is hard for me to follow.

i think i have this all sorted out. i have added the 'webtools' user to stage.mozilla.org, which i can add your ssh keys to. from there you will have the ability to upload your selenium tests onto the ftp server.
can i please get each of your .pub ssh keys for the webtools user account on stage.mo?

Thanks Chris, please use the one from attachment 186734 [details] for me. Here is Dan's public key. I don't know Shane's so I'll let him attach it.

thnx :standard8. i have added these two ssh keys to the upload server. you should now have access as:
webtools@stage.mozilla.org
you will see a text file in webtools' home directory called `WHERE_ARE_SELENIUM_TESTS` which contains the absolute path to the /pub/webtools/selenium/ directory. the webtools user has recursive ownership of that directory.

i am going to go ahead and mark this bug as r/resolved. if additional ssh keys are required, please either hit me up on irc or reopen the bug with them attached.

Assuming Shane will file a bug if he wants his keys registered.
