From Bugzilla Helper: User-Agent: Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 5.5; Windows NT 5.0) BuildID: .9.2 mozilla .9.2 crashes on boot. it doesn't give me any error that I can find, but it says it makes a log, which I also can't find. .9.1 did the same thing, but .9 works. I tried uninstalling all previous copies, deleting the directories and then installing clean, but that had no effect either. the Mozilla splash screen comes up, then a small window telling me that the program had an error and that it's writing a log and I must restart. this happenes every time. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1.install mozilla .9.1 or .9.2 2.attempt to run 3. Actual Results: the program writes an error log and crashes

Also, try running mozilla.exe -profilemanager and see if it lets you create a new profile and start.
Reporter: Try it with a new profile (mozilla -profilemanager) and create a new profile. Please add a comment if that works or not.

The problems went away when I was able to find the profile information being stored in w2k's user directory. I didn't realize that the uninstall left that data there. .90 to .91 requires deleting that data. .9.1 to .9.2 doesn't.
