Details

We will undertake an effort to implement continuous delivery[0] on Mozilla Reps. This bug will track that effort.
We had a conversation with :rbillings, who outlined the important elements of a good continuous delivery program:

The critical elements she described include:

    * the implementation of waffle/waffle flags

    * unit tests for every commit

    * monitoring tools to notify when deploys caused trouble; manual monitoring for months until confident in automated monitoring & its notifications

    * lots of communication (blog posts, newsgroups) during the entire process

    * being clear about the definition of quality, and clear about who is responsible for what [ex: commits become much more the responsibility of the commiter than the team]
