Right now, one needs to highlight, then double-tap each key to enter it. This is quite inefficient. Instead, entering when the finger is lifted should be supported like on Android, or the equivalent input mode rotor setting in iOS. In addition, once a character is entered, right now the keyboar seems to lose focus. Touching another key repeats the "Keyboard service" utterance. In addition, we could make the "old" behavior, meaning highlight and double-tap a configuration option, but have it not set as the default. I hardly know anyone who does typing in this manner on iOS, touch typing is much preferred for better efficiency.
