The menus at buzilla.mozilla.org seem quite overwhelming partly because the links are duplicated, have some unneeded links (the logo could be linked to the homepage instead of having a "Home"-link), and are ungrouped (figure 1). Top make it a bit easier to use (figure 2), I have for some time used a style-sheet via the "Stylish"-addon.

In the attached (quick/dirty) patch I have tried to illustrate how the current standard layout (figure 3) could be simplified somewhat (figure 4 and figure 5 for hover menus). It seems to me that putting the saved searches and reports in a dropdown-menu helps quite a bit to explain what those links are. Might something like this be accepted?
In general I do like the direction, thanks!
Note: I'm neither a Bugzilla developer nor a designer, just my two cents:

The "Main Page" in the second line feels a bit isolated - is that also meant to be a link?
To me it's a bit unclear what to expect when clicking the cog.
The "Reports" dropdown - currently "Reports" links to a page with about 10 (non-personalized) entries, I don't see a way how to provide that in a dropdown.
Personally I'd dislike if I had to click twice to go to "Administration" but that's only because I'm a pretty lazy admin...

Yes, that's part of bug 662605 which is about redesigning the Bugzilla UI. Marking your bug as a duplicate of that one.

That bug seems to try to make Bugzilla pretty, this one was just trying to make it a little more useable. Different things.

I'll take that as a no.
