We checked the l10n package, I found some language only have id "data-limit-value" , and some language only have id "data-limit-value2".. Could you please uniform this string id?

Strange bug: `data-limit-value2' is defined for both French and English, and this key seems to be used declaratively (= in a data-l10n-id attribute)… it should be translated dynamically when the user language is changed. Will investigate when I get free cycles — or if this becomes a blocker. (In reply to Amelie Kong from comment #3) > We checked the l10n package, I found some language only have id > "data-limit-value" , and some language only have id "data-limit-value2".. > > Could you please uniform this string id? Locales using `data-limit-value' instead of `data-limit-value2' are outdated. They should be updated by l10n contributors in the next days / weeks — please ping our l10n drivers (:pike and :stas) if one of the target leo locales is affected. More generally: locales should always follow the en-US one. If an l10n key is modified in the en-US locale, all other locales are supposed to follow the change.

(In reply to sync-1 from comment #0) > For FT PR, Please list reference mobile's behavior: > > data-l10n-id = data-limit-value in ~/costcontrol/index.html There’s no `data-limit-value' string in this file. Checked with the master and v1-train branches. Maybe I misunderstood you? If yes, would you clarify please?

I never got this screen. I’ve followed your STR, starting with a fresh device each time (empty profile + |make reset-gaia|), and I tried the master and v1-train branches.
Amelie, can you please provide sharper STR to help me reproducing this bug? Ideally, starting from a fresh device? (empty profile + |make reset-gaia|)

in ~/costcontrol/index.html <p class="usage_p_with_button" data-l10n-id="data-limit-value">Alert me when used</p> in ~/costcontrol/locales/costcontrol.en-US.properties data-limit-alert = Data use alert data-limit-value2 = When use is above data-limit-dialog-title2 = Enter a mobile data limit alert -----------------------no "data-limit-value" in properties file. In of ~/costcontrol/index.html,should i change "data-limit-value" into "data-limit-value2"? (In reply to ying.tan from comment #8) > in ~/costcontrol/index.html > <p class="usage_p_with_button" data-l10n-id="data-limit-value">Alert me when > used</p> There’s no such element in costcontrol/index.html — neither in the master nor in the v1-train branch. What branch are you using? Is that a specific branch? If you’re using your own, specific branch, it probably means you’ve missed a couple patches — and that would explain the bug that is visible in the attached screenshot: the four lines below “Wi-Fi usage” should not be visible *at all* in this situation. Fixing the CostControl app in this branch will require more than just changing an ID, and I’d recommend to track the commit history instead. Maybe you could try to sync on v1-train again?

GIven the outstanding needinfo request triage is hitting the same bug again and again, hence I am removing the blocking flag for now. Feel free to renom after the needinfo is cleared as needed.
