Every release of Firefox is accompanied by an email to everyone@mozilla.com for the "Firefox release dashboard". I've never seen this dashboard, though, since loading the attached link says:
> The server https://metrics.mozilla.com:443/ requires a username and password. The server says: User your LDAP username/password
No LDAP information is ever accepted.
If we're sending this public link out to all staff and contributors, there should be less burden involved in getting access to the content. Removing LDAP requirements or correcting the authentication issues are both valid solutions here, I think.

Looks like your account was missing from the stats dashboard group. I've added it. New users automatically get added to this group by default.

Why does that group need to exist to begin with? If the information at the destination is supposed to be available to a wide audience anyway, why bother requiring permissions for it?
