User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Linux x86_64; rv:21.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/21.0 (Beta/Release)
Build ID: 20130511120803
Steps to reproduce:
debian testing 64 bits, amd ati fglrx graphics driver
1. open an about:blank page
2. go to any website with a flash applet
Actual results:
1. the about:blank page is black
2. some flash applets go black while running, then the entire browser turns black (including the adress bar, etc. The whole window)
Expected results:
1. the 'about:blank' page should be white
2. flash applets just shouldn't do that.
this is the result of my about:support - graphics section

Could you please try the following, to see if you still reproduce the issue :
1) try this with a clean profile: http://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/profile-manager-create-and-remove-firefox-profiles
2) running in Safe mode: http://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/troubleshoot-firefox-issues-using-safe-mode
Also, you could update your GPU driver and your Flash.
So,
- with a clean profile, the bug is not present.
- in safe mode, the bug is not present.
- my flash plugin and GPU driver are the last versions.
So i guess there's something wrong with my plugins/configuration.
But i still don't know what.

If you can't reproduce the bug neither with a clean profile, nor in safe mode, there is a high chance that one or more add-ons might be causing the problem.
You could try disabling your add-ons one by one, until you find the culprit.
After disabling all add-ons, the bug still appears.
It seems that the add-ons are not responsible.
Flash is no longer supported
