Selecting a topic for new articles is cumbersome since the list of topics per product is very long. The full list is rarely necessary since articles are mostly specific to one product. We should simplify that by not showing everything by default.

This is pretty awesome! I found one thing that doesn't work well. If you are missing one piece of info on the form when you submit it clears out the topic you've selected but that section is collapsed so you don't know. Then you fix the first error and it will tell you that you need to pick a topic. Doesn't keep it from working but that's not ideal.

If it's missing a field, the form will never submit because we have client side validation for required fields.
It's the same behavior today. Just neglect to select a product and submit. Looks like we don't have client side verification for product and topic selections.
OK. Well file a followup for that? I'm deploying to prod in 3...2...1...
