Need to define what happens when an event is rescheduled or cancelled after email notifications are sent.

Would this be accomplished better by assigning unique event-specific hash tags to automatically generated tweets?

Rather than email, calendaring is the right protocol for handling this problem.  Closing this as the upcoming button to get an ical feed for a single event should solve it that way.
