897653 - Can't use gmail in persona for Bugzilla account

I'm filing this on behalf of another user, who can't get persona to work for her new bugzilla account on behalf of either of her 2 gmail addresses.

Getting this error message (screenshot attached)

In the meantime, can she use normal Bugzilla login instead of Persona to use BMO? If she doesn't know the password she can use the Forgotten Password link. As for the issue it seems like it may be related to the fact that BMO needs to be reconfigured to use proxies to talk to Persona instead of talking to the verifiers directly as it has been doing til this point. There are a couple bugs related to this that are being resolved now. Bug 875873 (private) and bug 897512.

Let's not dupe it just yet as that was just a hunch. I want someone to verify that this other issue is indeed a cause of the gmail.com issue as well.

Note that the Persona people just turned on their Gmail bridge. That may be related. Can she log in to other Persona-using resources (e.g. air.mozilla.org) using her Gmail account?
