I would like to see "Launch File" activated on the Saving File dialog while the file is still downloading in order to preview the file (if it is in a format that allows that, ie. MP3).
How about an "advanced" button on the download window that pops up a menu or expands the download dialog so you can do things like "Launch incomplete file" and "launch when finished" and "launch with program ..." and "copy to folder after download" and "move to folder after download" and "virus-scan after download" and "copy filename to clipboard" and other stuff
spam: over to File Handling. i have not changed the assigned developer [or the other fields for that matter], so if anyone realizes that a bug should have a more appropriate owner, go ahead and change it. :)
no advanced button. We could probably have the launch button start out as a preview button and change to launch when the file completes. I think if i were a commercial vendor, i wouldn't implement this because i can't imagine a good way of explaining all the errors end users will get by trying to use this button. As such, i think a pref w/ no ui wouldn't be absolutely unreasonable.
The bigger case is that while downloading a file, it doesn't appear anymore where I state to download it. It only appears when it's done downloading. It used to appear where I state it to, and getting bigger all the time, allowing me to preview it as noted.
