The Firefox build peers would like a mechanism for people to easily request a code review from a build peer. The scenario is an attachment/patch in a non Core::Build Config Bugzilla component touches the build config and we'd like to perform build review without requiring people to file a new bug or to select only a specific individual (to avoid issues when one individual is away or busy and to help ensure all peers have similar awareness). We'd like these requests to go into a "shared review queue" so build peers can manage them at their discretion.

I'm not sure what options Bugzilla can provide to facilitate this. If all we had was an account associated with a mailing list that sent BMO emails to all the build peers, I think this would suffice. Please let us know what the options are and we'll make a choice.

Do we actually want this? I expressed reservations about this in the newsgroup when it was brought up, and I haven't seen any other responses positive or negative.

I'd like to have conversations with the BMO folk to see what our options are. If there's something that can work, great. If not, we can mark WONTFIX.

We're planning to stand up a ReviewBoard instance this quarter for experimentation. Sounds like it might help you out, since it is a separate application from Bugzilla. We'll be putting in more integration with Bugzilla over time if it turns out to be popular, but I don't think it'll be required (e.g. you could have reviews not associated with bugs). It also allows multiple reviewers.

having a mailing list is your best option for what's currently in production - there's isn't any built in support for "teams" or groups which can be targets of flags.
