Currently, when the user performs some updates (applications), there is no viable feedback:
- if the apps are correctly installed, it's discarded silently, which might be fine but bothers me a lot
- if there is an error while updating an app, we get a notification in the bottom of the screen, that disappears very soon and that does not mention the application involved
I think we should use the Notification API in both case, but especially for the erroneous one. If I leave my phone a couple of minutes while it's performing it's update, I won't know that the update failed or succeeded.
As a comparison point, Android does use its Notification API so that we have the information kept.

Annoying, but we already shipped with this bug. Not blocking.
