The system keyboard on certain apps like contacts, messages, i extremely laggy.  See logcat and screencast.

Environment:
- 1.2 nightly build on 7/29/2013, Buri device
- Gaia: <project name="gaia.git" path="gaia" remote="mozillaorg" revision="ad923e915a38394497da682c3024ccc37390b52a"/>
- Gecko:  Mercurial-Information: <project name="mozilla-central" path="gecko" remote="hgmozillaorg" revision="73b69c146ca6"/> 

Repro:
1) install 1.2 nightly on buri device
2) launch contacts or SMS app , and start typing
3) Verify the lagtime between typing and what's on screen is around half a second.

Expected:
- faster response on On screen keyboard

Actual:
- lag time

What seems interesting is that browser is ok as well as Prio Notes (from the Marketplace) and Calendar.  (Ok meaning I do not see the typing performance issue)

Dialer, Email (new setup password section, creating a new mail in the contacts/ subject lines), SMS, and Contacts apps all seem affected.

I turned off hardware acceleration on this device, and the keyboard is much more responsive to my typing in the SMS bar.  gonna request core team to take a look.
